Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival

Presented by

Kickoff the holiday season and Downtown in December with this year’s Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival presented by Heartland! The 22nd annual event will take place in Bricktown outside of the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Thursday, November 16th, 2023, and feature live holiday performances, free activities including photos with Santa and a Letters to Santa station, food and drinks, and the traditional countdown to the tree lighting by Mayor David Holt.

Saints Santa Run

Presented by

Grab your costumes and running shoes, the Saints Santa Run presented by SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital is returning Saturday, December 2nd, 2023. Our family-friendly holiday run is bringing all ages, and even pets, to downtown Oklahoma City for a festive 5K and costume contest. Participants can choose between our 5K Walk/Run, 1-Mile Fun Run, and free Kids’ Dash. Registration open now.

Lights On Broadway Annual Event

Lyric's A Christmas Carol

Lyric’s beloved holiday tradition makes its triumphant return to the Plaza Theatre this fall, featuring all-new sets, costumes, lights, sounds and staging. Join Ebenezer Scrooge, a host of ghosts and Charles Dickens’ characters as they spring to life in Lyric’s spectacular, new production. You’ll go from humbug to happy in one magical night when you experience Lyric’s A Christmas Carol this season.

OKC Ballet's The Nutcracker

Audiences will not want to miss Oklahoma City Ballet’s traditional version of The Nutcracker with choreography by Artistic Director Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye. Tchaikovsky’s spirited and familiar score evokes warm childlike memories in the most glorious way as this colorful and extravagant ballet takes the stage once again during the holiday season. The Nutcracker will include students from the OKC Ballet Yvonne Chouteau School, plus live music from Canterbury Youth Voices and the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.
