LIGHTS ON BROADWAY

Cruise down historic Automobile Alley for the district’s holiday open house and the first day of this year’s stunning light display with the 3rd Annual Lights On Broadway event on Saturday, November 17th 4pm-8pm on Broadway Ave. between NW 4th & 10th Streets.
Retail shops and restaurants will be featuring buzz-worthy holiday window displays in addition to children’s activities, special promotions, and giveaways. There will be complimentary carriage rides, visits with Santa, live artists and musicians, a free photo booth, a series of outdoor movies, hot cocoa, free face painting, a live brass band and more! Join us in discovering the Alley “in the new old-fashioned way”!
RCB Bank, located at 701 N. Broadway Avenue, will be hosting a series of outdoor movies. Holiday cartoon classics including, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, “Somewhere in Dreamland”, “Jack Frost”, and more will be playing in the RCB Bank parking lot beginning at 4:00 p.m.
After a year of construction, Automobile Alley streets are clear of construction and businesses are ready for customers. In anticipation of the Oklahoma City Streetcar, EMBARK will have a streetcar stationed at the Broadway Ave. Platform, located at the NE corner of 8th Street and Broadway Ave. OKC Streetcar will be hosting a “Track Meet”, sharing information about the new streetcar system, while attendees tour the streetcar, pick up route maps, giveaways, and more. Full service for the Oklahoma City Streetcar will begin on December 14, in conjunction with their Grand Opening Weekend Festivities. The Curbside Chronicle pop-up will be located on the east side of Broadway Avenue between NW 8th Street and NW 9th Street selling holiday wrapping paper benefitting the Wrap Up Homelessness program. 100% of the proceeds from each package of wrapping paper go to support The Curbside Chronicle and its mission to employ and empower men and women transitioning out of homelessness in OKC.
