Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival presented by SONIC

One of the year’s most anticipated annual events, the Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival presented by SONIC, will take place Saturday, November 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event serves as the kickoff to the holiday season, as Mayor David Holt lights the Christmas Tree with Santa Claus. The first Tree Lighting Festival took place in 2002, and has since grown to include a live band, food trucks, face painting, and free visits with Santa. The festival will be held on the Third Base Plaza at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark (2 S. Mickey Mantle Dr.), and is free and open to the public.

Lyric Theatre’s cast from A Christmas Carol will return this year. More performers include: Academia OKC’s Intermediate Mariachi Group, Native Prairie Choir, and local hip-hop artist Jabee.
