ABOUT DOWNTOWN IN DECEMBER
With the generous support of our sponsors and partners, Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership activates the downtown area through its one-of-a-kind series of holiday events and attractions. Downtown in December presented by Devon provides a central location for the numerous community events produced not only by our organization and its districts, but by local nonprofits and businesses throughout downtown.
Our highly-anticipated signature events are scheduled to return this year, including the Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival & Virtual Holiday Special, Saints Santa Run, and Lights On Broadway.
Downtown in December also highlights over 30 other seasonal celebrations. Many of which have become important community traditions, and most are offered for free or at a low-cost allowing them to be accessible to everyone.
Downtown in December is marketed through digital and print advertising, a multi-page event program published in local magazines, posters distributed city-wide, and rack cards distributed state-wide. Downtown in December reaches an audience of over 300,000 through this website, 500,000 through social media, 7,000 through our What’s Up Downtown weekly e-newsletter, 300,000 through editorial, and 35,000 through the Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival Virtual Holiday Special.
